Total of 20.000 spectators have filled the grandstands and the hills of Lankebanen for the Rallycross weekend. HellRX of Norway, 4th round of RX Lites and 8th round of FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, witnessed an amazing moments during the sunny weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, the rallycross fans had chance to watch total of 76 races including SuperCars, Touring cars and RX Lites.

The race weekend started with free practices on saturday morning. Current leader Kevin Hansen Jr was the fastest name in practice session. As the Heat races started, Thomas Bryntesson made a strong entry to the weekend and won the first two Heats. Kevin Hansen Jr. answered back this attack by winning the Heat3 at the end of the first day. Kevin Eriksson was not fast enough as he planned for this weekend but steady results hold him at the top positions of the standings. Oscar Solberg struggled with a puncture on his first ever Heat with an RX Lites but managed to climb up on following races. Lotto Team drivers Krzysztof Holowczyc and Martin Kaczmarski had a few incidents during the day. Holowczyc retired after a battle with Oliver Erkiksson at Heat2 and was not happy with this at all. OlsbergsMSE driver Sandra Hultgren was fast in every race but couldnt managed to complete the sessions at the top, nevertheless she forced the top five.

Sunday started with Heat4 and Kevin Hansen Jr. made a good start on final day by winning the heat. Kevin Eriksson and Joachim Hvaal followed him at the heat classification where Thomas Bryntesson hardly finished the laps after damaging the car on a side by side challenge.

All 12 contenders were listed for semi finals. Bryntesson again won the Semi Final-1 followed by Kevin Eriksson and Simon Olofsson, three names qualified for final. Thomas Holmen couldnt make it to start grid on Semi Final-2 and only 5 drivers roared over the track. Kevin Hansen Jr. Oscar Solberg and Sandra Hultgren were the last three names qualified for final race.

It was a clear win for Thomas Bryntesson from flag to flag. This was his second consecutive victory after Höljes and this result made him to get closer to top two drivers since he was missing in Portugal. Kevin Hansen Jr finished in second place in front of his rival Kevin Eriksson and this helped him to extend Hansen’s lead overall by 9 points. Kevin Eriksson was 3rd overall and managed to get on the podium for the third time this season.

Simon Olofsson finished in fourth place as he keeps the same position at season standings. Oscar Solberg was fifth and the 17-year-old Norwegian managed to get to final on his first ever race. Finally, Sandra Hultgren was the last name who completed the final race. After this result she is at the 6th position in overall standings.

Next stop will be Middle East and our fans should wait for some flashing news. All this attention in Hell, Norway is the major motivation for our team and with the help of this, we are expanding our networks throughout the world”

The next and the 5th round of RX Lites 2015 season will be organised in Barcelona, Spain. Circuit de Catalunya will be hosting the WorldRX round for the first time this year and RX Lites drivers will have chance to meet fanatic Catalan motorsports enthusiasts for the first time.
